Van Helsing's final season brings back a pair of fan favorites in romantic teaser for Episode 6

Van Helsing Season 5 Episode 6

After seemingly dying at the end of Van Helsing Season 4, Julius (Aleks Paunovic) and Axel (Jonathan Scarfe) are back in the thick of the action for Episode 6 of the SYFY show's fifth and final season. The pair of fan favorites may have been able to stave off death for the time being, but that doesn't mean they're out of the woods just yet. In fact, they now find themselves under fire from someone named Nina — a dangerous killer who is apparently "really important" to Julius. Awww, don't that just break your heart, folks?

It's wasn't much of a performance stretch for Paunovic, who admitted to Comic Book Resources that he's a major softie off the set. "One of the things that the writers wrote in is that I am a mama's boy in real life, so I understand the power of a woman, and I give it so much tribute to see that in a show that I'm a part of," he said. "It just makes my heart really full that these women are portrayed as just badass and get to do roles that they probably never thought they would do."

"It doesn’t matter if it’s zombies or vampires ... it doesn’t matter," Scarfe remarked during an interview back in 2016. "It’s what happens to these people once all the rules have changed."
