Amy Bruni

Amy Bruni is a good example of what happens when a hobby turns into a passion, which in turn becomes a way of life. Like many in the paranormal field, Amy grew up in a haunted house. Yet, unlike most in that situation, Amy's family embraced it. Her father was an amateur paranormal investigator and routinely, he and Amy would investigate haunted sites. She began her pursuit of becoming the expert paranormal researcher she is today at a very early age by reading everything ghostly she could get her hands on and has many a fond memory of late nights listening to Art Bell while her nose was buried in a Hans Holzer book.

After spending years investigating on her own, Amy joined a paranormal team in Sacramento, CA, and eventually her lifetime of supernatural knowledge drew the attention of Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson of The Atlantic Paranormal Society and the Syfy series, Ghost Hunters. She then began helping them with various TAPS activities and shortly thereafter, she helped form the first ever TAPS satellite team, TAPS West. In 2007, Amy was recruited to be part of the TAPS team on the East Coast and in addition to her investigative duties, serves as the team's researcher.

With more than 20 years experience studying the paranormal, when Amy isn't investigating with TAPS, she is traveling to colleges and visiting paranormal teams, lecturing on the history of paranormal investigation and the nature of group dynamics in the paranormal field.

Amy currently resides in southeastern Massachusetts with her fiance, Jim, their daughter, Charlotte, and a very boisterous basset hound by the name of Zoe.
