Who says egomaniacal supervillains are ruthless and self-centered?  Attendees at this year's New York Comic Con, which began today, will enjoy the luxury of free WiFi during the entire convention courtesy of Superman's scheming nemesis, Lex Luthor and his tech giant, LexCorp.  It's all part of the reality-blurring viral campaign for next year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which kicked off this week with Luthor's faux "Man of Tomorrow" interview with Forbes Magazine.  What a great guy!

The announcement was made on the official NYCC site in answer to the WiFi availablity question for fans:

"Yes. Free WiFi throughout the Javits Center will be provided by LexCorp Industries.  LexCorp unites humanity through technology. We believe in technology as a means of communication, unification and a source of inspiration. To access the WiFi on-site at the Javits Center, connect to the 'LexCorp' network from the list of available networks. You will automatically be redirected to the LexCorp WiFi login page where you can enter your email address and click "CONNECT" to gain access to the network. LexCorp — together, we can build a better world."

To further entrench the illusion, check out this slick viral video promoting the next-generation LEX/OS, the world's most secure and private operating system.  So enjoy your free WiFi at NYCC on LexCorp's speedy private network and toss your cares away that the chrome-domed supervillain would ever take advantage of you online.

Can fan loyalty really be bought with something so simple as lightning-fast LexCorp-sponsored WiFi service?  You can bet your cape on it!  New York Comic Con runs Oct. 8-11, 2015, at the Javits Center in New York City.
